Ears leaking smelly fluid?

About a week ago I spent the day at the river with my friends. There was a low hanging foot bridge over the river that we decided to jump off of. Like a fool I agreed and ended up landing on the water very hard on my right ear. The next day there was small amounts of blood on my pillow, and my ear has felt plugged ever since. My ear also leaks clear smelly fluid (so gross). I have a doctors appointment set up but does anyone have any advice on what else I could be doing to help clear my ear? I hate not being able to hear...
